The weather is warming up just in time for Yeti Chase weekend, and race morning is forcast to be partly sunny, warming up to around 40 by therace's end! We are excited about another sold out Yeti Chase! We hit our 1,000 runner sell-out number on this morning, but we are taking a few extra entriesto make sure we have a full field at the start line on Sunday. Registration will close soon, so if you have any friends who would like to race, please letthem know!

Jill is busy today getting everything ready for her marathon baking day late this week - yes, we'll have home baked bananachocolate chip bread for everyone to go along with hot cocoa and other yummy drinks and treats.

The Summit Cove Yeti will also be at the race - you'll get your chance torun him down, and you'll also have the opportunity to have your photo taken with him for the chance to win a $500 summer stay at one of the Summit Coveproperties in beautiful Keystone, Colorado!

REMEMBER - your photo downloads will be available for free just a couple of days after the race. Professional photographers will beon course all morning, capturing your smiling face!!! Downloading instructions are included near the bottom of this email.

Packet Pick-Up, Directions, & Parking

Racer bib numbers, goody-bags, and shirts will be available on race morning beginning at 8:30am at Bear Creek Lake Park. The Bear Creek gate opens at8am, so there is no need to arrive any earlier.

There will also be an early packet pick-up at Runners Roost in Lakewoodfrom noon until 6:30pm on Friday January 22nd. Runners Roost Lakewood will have great discounts to all racers who pick up their packet at this time. RunnersRoost is located at 7978 West Alameda Ave., Ste. A Lakewood, CO 80226.

Please, DO NOT give your bib to another runner. It may seem like an innocent thing to do, however it creates a liability issue for the event (thenew participant has not signed a waiver), and it also affects the results when we have a 15 year old boy winning the women's 50-54 division because he ran inplace of his mom.

You will be required to sign a City of Lakewood waiver at packet pickup. This is a city regulation. If you would like to speed things up, you may print & sign this waiver and bring it with you. If youare picking up for your minor child, you will need to sign This Minor Waiver.

If you will be picking up for friends or family members, you will need to bring a signed copy of this waiver - NoExceptions!

Shirt Exchange: If you need to swap your shirt size, please bring your shirt to the shirt tent following the race and you mayexchange it for another size (if the size you would like is available). It should go without saying, but you cannot wear your shirt in the race, then exchangeit for a clean one. We had several participants try this in the past, and it is kinda gross!

We will have a bag check area in the registration zone. Just fill out a tag, and you canleave a bag of clothes, etc there for after the race. This will save you a trip or two back to your car!

DIRECTIONS: The Yeti Chase takes place at beautiful Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood/Morrison. From C-470, exit the Morrison Roadexit. Turn east onto Morrison Road, and just a quarter mile later turn right into Bear Creek Lake Park. Park entry is included in your race entry fee, andrunner vehicles will be admitted for free.

Please print this Athlete Pass and place on your dashboard tospeed up your park entry.

Spectators should carpool with their runners. Parking is limited, and we do not want to run out of space for vehicles. Spectators arriving after the race has started will also create a traffic jam in the park, as they will have to share the road with runners creating a safetyissue. Spectators will not be shuttled to the race start after the race has begun. Also - spectators arriving without a runner in their vehicle will becharged the park entrance fee. So - there are lots of great reasons for your spectators to arrive with you.

Please be aware - if you are coming from Littleton or anywhere south of the park, many of the online mapping websites will send you into thepark via a route that will not work. Please be sure to exit C-470 at the Morrison Road exit.

PARKING: We encourage everyone to carpool if possible, and for spectators to arrive with their runners. Parking close to thestart/finish is limited, so we will have shuttle vans transporting runners from some of the further away lots (up to 1.5 miles from the start/finish). Please be courteous of the other runners and carpool if you can. I can't emphasize this enough - spectators should carpool with theirrunners.

In 2013, the weather was very warm and sunny, and our shuttles were overwhelmed with spectators, forcing us to start the race 5 minutes late. Thisyear, we have brought in additional shuttles and runners will get priority seating so that we can start the race on time. We will not delay the start thisyear for runners who arrive late, so please plan accordingly

With the frequent snow we've been receiving lately, there is a chance that the large dirt parking lot adjacent to the start/finish area willnot be available on race morning. We have scheduled additional shuttles and drivers to accommodate this situation, however you may be parked in a differentlot than we normally use. Please follow the directions of our parking staff, and only park in the lot you are directed to park in. Shuttles will notmake stops at other lots. Again, I urge everyone to plan ahead and arrive early enough to get a shuttle to the start. We do have a bag drop, soyou can ditch your warm clothing and post-race gear before the start.

Our parking crew will get you parked quickly and efficiently. Shuttles will run until 9:45am, and will resume at approximately10:20am.

Timing Information

Important: Please check the info on the label at the bottom of your bib. If anything is incorrect, please let the registrationvolunteers know right away so we can update your info in our database.

For the Yeti Chase, we will be using a chip system where your timing chip is attached to the back of your bib number. These aredisposable, so there will be no chip pick-up before the race and no chip return following the race. It makes things very simple as long as you follow a feweasy rules:

First: Do not fold or crumple your bib number. If you damage the timing chip attached to the back of your bib, it will notwork.

Next: Please be sure to wear your number VISIBLY on your FRONT when you cross the start and finish mats. In order to guaranteeyour timing chip registers as you cross the timing mats, please do not wear your bib on your back or under clothing. If you plan to take off a shirt or jacketduring the race, please do not pin your bib to the item you'll be taking off - wear it underneath, and open your jacket as you cross the start mat.

This also helps the professional photographers from MyRaceShots to identify you. Remember, your photo downloads will be free at www.MyRaceShots.com.

Finally: When you finish, just run or jog through the finish chute and you are done. That's it!

Results will be posted regularly throughout the race, and will be posted online immediately following the race.

Pets & Strollers

Dogs and running strollers are welcome at the Yeti Chase, but please be courteous of those around you. Runners with dogs and strollers must start atthe back of the pack. Also, dogs must be on leash and you must pick up after your pet.

Free Race Photo Downloadss

Your race photo downloads will be available for free just a few days after the race at MyRaceShots.com. Professional photographers will be on courseall morning, capturing your smiling face!!!

Please be sure to have your race number visible on your front throughout the race so the photographers can identify you. It is much easier to searchfor yourself by bib number than it is to scroll through thousands of race photos!

To download your photos, just click the download icon below the photo you wish to download!

If you would like to purchase photo prints or other items, you may do so as well at prices well below what other photo websites charge.
