Experience one of the most amazing duathlon courses in the region! From the run course over a mix of neighborhood streets, bike path, and grass trails, to the rolling bike course at the base of the foothills, you will be challenged by the terrain and amazed by the scenery throughout. We close a lane on Highway 93 for this event that takes you on a scenic tour of the west metro area. Enjoy a delicious breakfast as you celebrate your race!

The Littlefoot Triathlon is a fun late season tri. It has been held at scenic Bear Creek Lake Park, in Morrison/Lakewood, for six years under the direction of Riptide Multisports. Racing Underground has been timing the race since 2010, and recently took over ownership of the race.

Bear Creek has long been a favorite training venue for runners and cyclists, and Littlefoot is the only road tri to take place within the park.

Set at the base of the foothills, the Littlefoot Triathlon starts off with a 750 meter swim in Soda Lake, with water temps expected to be in the mid-70's.

Next, a rolling bike ride through the 2,500 acre park, known as much for its diverse bird and waterfowl population as it is for the amazing views of the nearby mountains. In 2013, the bike loop has been extended and will now be a single lap course!

The race concludes with a scenic 5K run on a multiuse path that winds through the park's west side, and finishes in a new expo area at the Bear Creek Marina.

The 2013 Littlefoot Triathlon will continue its tradition of offering Elite Prize Money ($1,000 split among the top-3 Elite finishers), and we've also added $200 in Master's Prize Money.

We are also continuing to sanction this event with USA Triathlon.

The Crescent Moon is the traditional end to the tri season on the Front Range. Come swim, bike, and run with us at the beautiful Aurora Reservoir - or choose the Aquabike where you can swim and bike the same course as the tri, but skip the 5K run! The post-race party includes a tasty catered lunch, and all participants will take home a quarter-zip long sleeve tech shirt this year - the perfect running shirt for the chilly fall and winter months!

The 2012 Desert's Edge Tri was a huge success, selling out well before race day. The festival atmosphere, with nearly 400 athletes and fans camping just 100 yards from transition was amazing! In 2013, we have added a fast and fun off-road tri on Saturday to compliment Sunday's on-road sprint & Olympic triathlons. We are already on track for another sell-out.
